Samsung’s Galaxy S25 series has sold one million units in South Korea in 21 days since its release on February 7, surpassing the Galaxy Note 10, which hit that record in 25 days.

The swift adoption of the S25 series indicates not only the growing acceptance of Samsung but also highlights the need for innovation in the form of smartphones.

Consumers in South Korea are particularly drawn to these devices for their sleek form factor, together with powerful performance, and innovative design attributes, including the S’ flagship Galaxy S25 Ultra.

Samsung claims the success of the devices is greatly attributed to Galaxy AI technology which allows for more intuitive and smarter smartphone use.

Galaxy AI also extends to device management including security and battery life that has been especially appealing to advanced users seeking hassle-free technology.

“The overwhelming demand for the Galaxy S25 series is a testament to the power of combining cutting-edge technology with sleek design,” said a Samsung spokesperson.

Snapdragon 8 Elite processor

The S25 series is praised for its great performance, which was a key reason South Koreans rushed to acquire it. Thanks to its special, and more powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, the S25 series outperforms other flagship phones.

This makes it not only faster but also more efficient, appealing to users who rely on their smartphones for high-performance tasks like gaming, multitasking, and media consumption.

Moreover, they are equipped with an advanced 120Hz Dynamic AMOLED display, which comes with vivid colours and smooth scrolling that enhances the viewing experience.

Thin and Light, the Galaxy S25 Ultra proves to be a fan favourite and collectively contributes to nearly half of the total sales coming from other brands. This premium model is known to have few flagship features which includes a 200MP camera.

As the most powerful sensor ever packed inside a Galaxy phone, it enables customers to capture highly detailed images and video along with stunning clarity.

Along with these impressive features, the Galaxy S25 Ultra has a new titanium frame which makes the device more durable and ultra premium looking at the same time.

The Ultra model has two colour changes which are, Titanium White Silver and Titanium Silver Blue which customers seem to gravitate towards.

50% trade-in value

Samsung’s commitment to providing value is further reflected in the Galaxy AI Subscription Club, which offers a guaranteed 50% trade-in value after one year of use, alongside Samsung Care+ for damage protection.

This programme alone has contributed significantly to the sales of the company, especially with younger users who want to upgrade at a lower cost. Around 20% of pre-order customers opted for the Galaxy AI Subscription Club, out of which 60% were in their 20’s and 30’s.

Apart from the strong domestic sales for the Galaxy S25 series, Samsung still has more planned. The business intends to roll out further aggressive marketing strategy, alongside other special offers, to increase sales internationally.

One new promotion that will begin in March includes a high-capacity, wireless charging battery pack for 5,000 won (about $3), alongside six months premium subscriptions to Google One’s AI.
