DStv Packages in Kenya: Paybill Number, Customer Care

MultiChoice, the pay-TV provider behind DStv, Showmax, and SuperSport, raised the cost of its DStv packages in Kenya in November 2024 amid escalating financial pressures.

As a result, the DStv Premium package now costs Sh11,000, up from Sh10,500, while the Compact Plus plan is priced at Sh6,800, an increase from the previous Sh6,500.

Subscribers to the Compact package are now charged Sh3,900, up from the previous rate of Sh3,700, while those on the Family package are billed Sh2,100, up from Sh2,000.

MultiChoice raised its DStv package prices on April 1, 2024, following similar hikes in April and August of the previous year. The company faces tough competition from streaming services like Netflix and Amazon Prime Video.

How to pay DStv via M-Pesa

Here are the steps to follow:

• Open the M-Pesa menu.
• Select Lipa na M-Pesa.
• Choose the Paybill option.
• Select Enter Business Number and input 444900.
• Next, input the Account Number. This is your DStv SmartCard number.
• Input the amount to pay.
• Enter your M-Pesa PIN to approve the payment.
• Await for a confirmation SMS from Multichoice.
